These Terms & Conditions apply to adult Spanish Decoded courses, workshops and taster sessions, including Foundations and Extension. Spanish Playgroup has separate terms because it is a parent-and-child service.

Spanish Decoded provides small-group Spanish learning in and around Hebden Bridge. The approach focuses on understanding how Spanish works, building confidence and developing usable language rather than relying on memorisation alone.
Course descriptions, dates, duration, venue, price and anything specifically included in a particular course will be set out on the relevant booking page, website or enrolment communication. Those course-specific details form part of your booking alongside these terms.
Spanish Decoded provides small-group Spanish learning in and around Hebden Bridge. The approach focuses on understanding how Spanish works, building confidence and developing usable language rather than relying on memorisation alone.

A place is confirmed when Spanish Decoded has accepted your booking and any payment required to secure the place has been received, unless a different arrangement has been agreed with you in writing.
Prices and payment arrangements may vary between courses or cohorts. The price and payment terms stated when you book are the ones that apply to your booking.
Please make sure the information you provide during enrolment is accurate and let us know if anything relevant changes.

3. Tasters

Where a taster session is advertised as free, there is no charge to attend. Places may be limited and advance booking may be required.
A taster is intended to give you an introduction to the Spanish Decoded approach. Attending a taster does not commit you to a paid course and does not guarantee a place on a later course unless this is expressly confirmed.
If Spanish Decoded needs to change or cancel a taster, we will contact booked attendees as soon as reasonably possible and, where possible, offer an alternative date.

4. Cancellations, refunds and missed sessions

If you need to cancel before a paid course begins, please contact Spanish Decoded as soon as possible. Any refund entitlement will be considered in line with the payment arrangement for your booking and your statutory consumer rights.
Once a course has begun, course fees are normally non-refundable because your place has been reserved for the cohort and the course is planned and priced as a complete programme. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.
If you miss a session, we cannot normally offer a refund, credit or replacement session. Where course resources or summaries are part of your course, these can help you reconnect with material you have missed. Any additional reflection or practice outside sessions is optional unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular course.
If exceptional circumstances mean you cannot continue, please contact Spanish Decoded. We will consider what is reasonable in the circumstances, but cannot guarantee a refund or transfer.

Where Spanish Decoded cancels a paid session, we will normally offer a rescheduled session, suitable alternative, credit or proportionate refund where appropriate. If a substantial change affects the course as a whole, we will discuss the available options with enrolled participants.

Language learning outcomes vary between individuals and depend on factors including previous experience, attendance and engagement. Spanish Decoded cannot guarantee a particular level of fluency or specific learning outcome by the end of a course.
If there is anything about accessibility or the way you learn that would help us support your participation, you are welcome to tell us during enrolment or contact us privately. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate individual needs where practicable.

Participants must not record sessions, photograph other participants or share another participant’s personal information without permission.
Spanish Decoded will not use identifiable photographs, video or recordings of participants for public marketing without an appropriate lawful basis and, where required, consent.

We will use the contact details you provide to administer your booking and send information reasonably necessary for the course, such as session arrangements, changes and learning resources.

Spanish Decoded will take reasonable care in providing its services. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or rights that cannot legally be excluded under consumer law.
