Spanish Decoded replaces memorising with understanding. Every course — for adults, families, or young children — is built on the same idea: instead of learning isolated phrases and rules, you learn to recognise the patterns underneath Spanish — how sounds, structures and meaning connect.
The aim isn't to make you remember more. It's to help you make sense of what you're hearing, saying and reading.

Who's behind Spanish Decoded?
I'm Alixe. I teach Spanish differently.
I'm a Spanish teacher and designer based in Hebden Bridge. I created Spanish Decoded after noticing how often traditional language teaching left people feeling like they were bad at Spanish — when what they were really missing was a way to make sense of it.
My approach brings together language teaching, observation and the way designers think about systems and connections. I want learners to understand what they're doing, not simply remember what they're told.
